Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has scoffed at Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential ambitions, questioning his ability to mount a serious challenge against President William Ruto.
Amisi stated that Kalonzo, along with Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa, lacks the political strength required to face Ruto in a national election.
“While its a fact rhat Kenyans are frustrated with President Ruto’s leadership, Kalonzo doesn’t have what it takes to challenge him,” Amisi said during a speech in Luanda.
The legislator made his remarks while addressing mourners at the funeral of Mr. Eliud Josia Marende, held at Mumboha Secondary School in Luanda, Vihiga County.
According to Amisi, any leader seeking to take on Ruto must demonstrate a rare combination of selflessness and courage, willing to sacrifice personal comfort for the country’s benefit.
“Kenyans are looking for a bold leader who will stand up to the government—not politicians who limit their voices to funerals and church functions,” Amisi added, underscoring his view that Kalonzo’s approach lacks the tenacity needed to inspire change.
